Annual Sports Day of MUST
Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST) is an educational institution of Azad State of Jammu and Kashmir
Annual sports week of MUST is announced to be started on 12th of May.
This Sports week has much importance because there are significant changes in it as compared to previous sports weeks.
This time we will see the proper sports gala with opening and closing ceremonies in presence of higher authorities .
A flag march will be performed by every department athlete panel in opening ceremony.
Bhimber campus is also participating to enhance the competition this year and we welcome all our guests.
There are many other positve changes made regarding sports week , which shows the devotion and hard work of Sports Directorate and his team. A lot of work has done for improvement of university ground which resulted in better shape and drainage system of ground . Plantation of grass has been promised by authorities but it will take time . A separate new pitch for net practice has also been built for students.
All the updates of sports week will be given on Sportify .

Common workout injuries
Injuries during workout is common problem these days , injury can happen to anyone no matter how experienced you are . just lack of attention and here you are facing the pain and treatment.
But you can reduce the
fear of injury by taking regular precautions during workout.
Common injuries
are
- muscle pull and strain
- sprained ankles
- shoulder injury
- knee injuries
- shin splint
- tendinitis
- wrist sprain or dislocation
There are simple steps that can keep
you injury free during workout
Warm up
Warm up
Before every training or workout a nice body warm up is necessary , it helps your body get ready for the exercise with warming up of the body heart rate increases and muscles and joints expand
warm up methods can include
- riding exercise bike
- jumping rope
- jogging or running for 5 to 10 minutes
Stretch
After warm up stretching helps to expand and pump body muscles . stretching
also help increasing flexibility.
Be slow
On the first day of workout do not do a long and hard workout just do little
and increase your time in training day by day
Cross train
Do not do the same training training everyday and do not work on same muscle ,
keep varying your workout for different body parts . Doing workout in steps and
sets is much helping and easy.

- Social
A large number of students of other universities have registered and showed their excitement ,
which shows the charm of the event, seeing the interest of students from other universities it can be said that this event will create its marks in good books of guest students. This is also a challenge for capabilities of organizing group however till now everything seem smooth and according to schedule.
Event is organised by a group of willing students of MUST with the support of governing body of MUST.
Besides competition arrangements of some extra entertainment are made such as Basant mela ,
carnival night and tour of Mangla etc.

Revival of Cricket in Pakistan
Kenya Tour of Pakistan
Kenya cricket team has landed in Lahore this wednesday in much tight security of police
A series of 5 one day matches will be played between Pakistan and Kenya , This is going to happen after a very long time that any team is about to play in Pakistan ground and PCB is taking it much serious to show that Pakistan is right place as others to play cricket .
On the other side Coach of kenya cricket team said
"For us we were looking to play and get match practice,"
He said , "Forget all the side issues, politics and whatever is being said. If you are a cricketer you just play cricket and we are here to play it and nothing else. We landed here this morning and until now they have looked after us very well, to say the least. So I think other countries should also come and play cricket. If you want to move world cricket forward this is what should be happening."
Pakistan had been a no go area for cricketers for many years because during a test match in Lahore on 3rd March Sri Lanka Cricket team was attacked while going to stadium in which 8 people were died and some players were injured till that day no international team came to Pakistan for Cricket.
Matches will be played in NCA ground which is near the Gaddafi Stadium , there are many Restaurants and shops around that area but during the stay of Kenya team all shops and Restaurants will remain closed because of security.
Kenya Team is much satisfied about the security ,
Kenya Coach said , "It's an honour and privilege for us to be in Pakistan," Tikolo said. "I feel Pakistan has done a great favour by hosting us. We have a tournament coming up in January, a world qualifier league in Namibia and this series is a part our preparation.
"I believe the games we are going to play in the next 10 days are going to give my boys much practice and experience going into the tournament. So on behalf of Kenya Cricket, we are grateful to Pakistan and I hope this relationship goes further and becomes stronger."

All Kashmir Volleyball Tournament
Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST) is hosting a volleyball competition on its sports ground . This tournament is for all volleyball teams of AJK.

This is a Flood Light tournament and matches will be played at night only . Tournament will be held from 5th to 7th of December , almost all the arrangements have been completed and environment is set to sizzle on Friday night
. It will be an awesome experience for followers of Volleyball in the Mirpur city because they can enjoy the heat of volleyball in chilled weather and timing is also suitable for everyone .
All people are Welcome to ground , Come and have a blast of the game.

Lionel Messi faced a strange situation when he got hit by a Plastic water bottle which was thrown from stand by one of Valencia fans
According to details match was being played between FCBarcelona and Valencia at ( mestalla ) home ground of Valencia and till the 90th minute none of the teams ware able to score a goal as it was going a tough for both teams.
But referee took it as the wastage of time and Showed yellow card to Messi
Concerning authorities of Valencia came in action and Planned to make a lifetime ban on the spectator who threw the bottle , entrance only in ( mestalla ) is banned for him.

Today on 17th of November , a friendly match of Tape Ball cricket had been played between the teams of
MUST (Mirpur University of Science an Technology)
and
Mohi ud Din Medical College.
Glimpse of MDMC team for Match
It was a bright sunny day and weather was perfect for cricket. It was a limited over match of 8 overs , both teams and officials were in ground at 3 PM. It had been a one sided match from the beginning , as MUST team dominated the guests in every department ie batting , bowling and fielding.
There were some good batting performances by Must batsmen availing the full advantage of home ground.
MUST team batted first and gave quite difficult target to Guests , MDMC team seemed to be in pressure and They started losing their wickets in beginning which ended with their batting line up and resulted in an easy win for Mustians.

In the ground of Must many students were there to support the both teams and there was a friendly environment outside the ground , during the match cheering sounds could be heard in favour of both teams.
Team officials were also there for encouragement of players , sports director of Must welcomed players with a short promising speech.
It is a good step of Sports department to conduct friendly competitions with other universities it will provide many opportunities to students , relative to sports. Sports officials of Must has promised to arrange competitions of other sports with other educational institutions in near future.

The History book of Champions League (UEFA CL) is about to change as messi is on the chart again with a boom .
On the november 6th, 2014 Amsterdam arena was filled to witness the Match between FCB and AJAX although ajax was playing at home and arena was filled with the cheers for ajax but FCB didn't let the rivals dominate and beat ajax (2:0).

Today history has repeated itself . The news came from Abu Dhabi where Pakistan cricket team has white washed Aussies after 32 years in the test series .Pakistan had been outstanding throughout the series .From the first day Pak bowlers and batsmen join in hands for the glory , in this series we had witnessed the bright side of Pakistan batting which had been struggling for many years.

Another good news from this series is that many records have broken and made new ones Some of them are
- Fastest century and fastest fifty by Misbah ul Haq
- Back to back centuries by Younus Khan
- Most runs scored in a series by Younus Khan
This exceptional performance came from Pakistan at that time when Pakistan has lost ODI series and after that series there were threats of removal of Misbah's captaincy
but PCB showed maturity and continued with Misbah's leadership
and result is in front of you . Misbah not only proved Himself a good captain but also an in form player.
His fastest century in tests shows that he is capable of many things and people can can expect the unexpected from him
